Research & Development
We place a high priority on Research and Development and our
Technical Department is fully dedicated to developing new products
and processes. This involves close collaboration with suppliers
and end-users wherever they are located. A comprehensive Design
and Development procedure is employed for all projects initiated
which fully satisfies the Quality and Environmental requirements
of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
We also place a major emphasis on the need to provide a technical backup service to our customers. This service is designed - not only to solve the problems of today - but also to develop new ideas for the future.
Our local resources in Edinburgh include a fully equipped laboratory and screen test centre utilising a highly trained team of technical supervisors and staff. In addition, we have regular access to research facilities at local universities.
As well as all of the above, we have immediate access to the substantial global technical resources of Sweco, M-I Swaco and Smith International group companies. Liaison with development staff around the world is a continuing feature of the product and process enhancement effort to ensure that maximum benefit is leveraged for our customers.
