August 2005	OHSAS 18001 Certificate for Health & Safety received from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance. This was achieved after a nine month program of reviewing existing procedures to ensure compliance with the specification.
May 2005	Winners of an International Safety Award 2004 from the British Safety Council. Recognising our low accident rate, good safety policies and safety plans and commitment to health and safety throughout the organisation.
Apr 2005	Scottish Health at Work Silver Award received for Health & Safety achievement continuing on from work commenced in 2003.
Mar 2005	ISO14001 Certificate for Environmental Management System upgraded to 2004 version of the Standard.
Sep 2003	New DuraFlo oil screen launched replacing the original HiFlo composite screen for use on shale shakers used in the oil & gas industry. The screen provides a further advance in the development of composite screen technology and introduces a new Snap-Lock repair plug.
Aug 2003	Scottish Health at Work Bronze Award received for Health & Safety achievement after an extensive campaign promoting health awareness with our employees.
Jun 2003	ISO14001 Certification for Environmental Management System received from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance. This was achieved after an intensive six month period of implementing a formal management system for environmental issues.
Jan 2002	ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management System received from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance. This upgraded the existing ISO 9001: 1985 system to the new Standard to promote continuous improvement.
Oct 2001	United Wire acquired by M-I LLC from Madison Filter Group. The company was acquired with its sister company Southwestern Wirecloth Inc in the divestment of Madison Oil & Gas from Madison Filter Group.
Oct 1999	Madison Filter Group acquire United Wire from Scapa Group plc. The Specialty Materials Division of Scapa Group was divested to Madison, a new venture established by Duke Street Capital.
